About Us

SOMWU is the largest public service union in Somalia and represents workers in various fields including municipality sector, healthcare, education, social services, sanitation workers, firefighter, childcare providers and public administration. The union aims to protect the rights and interests of its members, negotiate collective agreements, and advocate for better working conditions, fair wages, and benefits. SOMWU works towards improving the working conditions, wages, and benefits of its members.
